Nina’s Time Management Tips!
Prioritize- Do the most important task first and the one of least priority, last. That way, if the first task takes longer than anticipated there is no worrying or added stress.
Set Goals- This helps me a lot, especially if I don’t want to do something. I set mini goals for myself. So, if I’m writing an essay, every paragraph I finish, I allot myself 10mintues of whatever I want to do. When the 10mintues are up, I go back to work. It takes longer to get things done, but the task is getting done.
Develop a Routine- Try a certain strategy everyday for 30 days. Once the 30 days are up, the strategy will become habit. Whether it’s waking up early, daily chores, or studying.
Learn to Say No- Don’t spread yourself too thin. Added stress can cause you to become sick and make everything worse. Never take on more than you can handle! Know your limits.
Do Not Procrastinate- If you’re a procrastinator (like me) it will be quite difficult to kick, but believe me, you’ll be happy that you did. Ever since I stopped saving all of my homework until Sunday I am happy that I finally have a day to relax and not stress about finishing homework that I haven’t started. Especially when it comes to a busy weekend!
Make a To-Do List– I, myself love lists! Making a to-do list and crossing or checking something off is fulfilling. It will give you have a sense of pride to get more things done.
Treat Yourself- It’s important for you to realize all of the hard work that you’ve done, and treating yourself every once and a while won’t break the bank or your diet! Rewarding yourself for a job well done keeps your motivation up to do better!
And as always..
These are all great tips! I will be trying the Make A To Do List, it is something I have really never been good at. I think I can do it for 30 days. Thanks.
