Dad’s Original Frozen Banana
This past weekend, I went on an adventure to find the perfect summer treat to beat the heat! Â While I was thinking of all different places, I remembered about this little gem in my own backyard! Â Dad’s Original Frozen Banana located on Balboa Island in Newport Beach, California. Â This stand opened in Newport Beach in the year 1960!
I went on a unusually gloomy afternoon, however don’t let the weather deter you! Â They also sell donuts, cookies, ice cream, and of course frozen banana’s! Â I decided to get the ‘Balboa Bar’ with rainbow sprinkles!
The Balboa bar is  vanilla ice cream on a stick, dipped in milk chocolate right before your eyes, and sprinkles with your choices such as rainbow sprinkles, chocolate sprinkles, and peanuts.  I would tell you about the melting aspect, however we didn’t get that far! It soon when from the stick to my tummy!
If you find yourself in Newport Beach or on Balboa Island this summer, make sure to stop at Dad’s Original Frozen Banana!
