This month has been extremely hectic therefore, was not able to read a book.  Instead I have a movie review!  The movie is called The Longest Week.  It came out in 2014 and stars Jason Bateman and Olivia Wilde. Jason Bateman plays a character named Conrad […]
Month: June 2016
It’s officially summer, and I could not be happier! Â Although this means the weather is climbing to hot temperatures, it also means pool parties, beach days, tans, water balloon fights, ice cream trucks, staying up late, and cute summer dresses.
Summer solstice is the longest day of the year because the sun is out for the longest period of time before sunset (not including Alaska where there’s like an entire month without dark and visa versa).
Although the solstice starts the summer period (and winter period depending where you are in the world, but summer for us in the Northern Hemisphere) it doesn’t usually mean that it’s the hottest day of the year. Â Although, it might be this year in California, because it’s been absolutely dreadful weather. Â My California blood doesn’t do well with high temperatures; which is basically anything higher than 75 degrees fahrenheit.
The Summer Solstice varies between June 20th-22nd. Â However, I usually celebrate it on the 21st because it’s the middle of both days, so it works, right?
Hope you all had/have a wonderful Solstice and may your summer be fun and memorable!! :))
Me, being an avid coffee drinker that I am, I am very particular about how I like my coffee. I take my coffee strong, with a little half and half, two sugars and ice! Â Some people drink it because it gives them energy, some because that’s just a part of their morning routine, and if you’re like me, it’s just because you like the taste.
I don’t drink it everyday, however, I have arranged with my mom and myself that I would only get a coffee two times a week, so my money doesn’t all go to coffee as well as becoming so addicted to coffee that I’ll have to drink it unless I get a headache. Â You might be wondering why I’m consulting with my Mom about this at 23 years old, but that’s our relationship. Â No matter how old I get, she’s still my mother, and I will always listen to what she has to say because she has my best interest at heart.
I usually go out to get my coffee, but on the off chance that I don’t, I like to sit outside in my backyard, flip through a magazine or read a book where the sun hits my face perfectly and it’s not too hot or too cold that I can wear a long sleeve shirt or bring my blanket with me.
Reading materials give me ideas and time to relax before my day really starts! Â To make sure that I’ve fully woken up from my nights sleep and facing my working day head on!
Tell me how you take your coffee in the comments below!
