Favorite Beauty Products of 2017

Favorite Beauty Products of 2017

I cannot believe that 2017 is almost over.  I swear each years goes by faster than the last! This year I looked for some new products to try and luckily I’ve used some GREAT makeup products this year and I thought I’d share them with you! Here are my favorite beauty products of 2017!

1.Mary-Lou Manizer Highlighter

I have just recently been using this highlighter (thanks to my sister for letting me try hers) and I’ve been loving it! This highlighter can look natural, but you can definitely build on it.

2.Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Palette

I got this last year for Christmas (thanks again Mia) but I didn’t start using it until the new year. I love the colors and last quite well.

3.Rimmel Kohl Kajal Waterproof Eyeliner

Not going to lie, I’ve used this eyeliner for a couple of years now, but this is the one I ALWAYS go back to. It lasts on the top lid all day, but I only have to reapply the bottom liner once more and it will stay all night.

4. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion

Absolutely love this primer! I just recently bought this and quickly put this to the test! I have oily eyelids and my eyeshadow lasted all day! Applying liberally works the best for an all day shadow look.

5. Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush

I got the color paaarty blush for my Sephora Birthday Gift for being a rewards member and I have used it ever since! It gives a great kissed-by-the-sun rosy cheeks and looks natural.

Hope you all have a wonderful New Year!

HAPPY 2017!

Copycat Quake Shake

Copycat Quake Shake

**This post is NOT sponsored by Ghirardelli**

copycat quake shake

Because I live so close to Disneyland, I went to Disneyland and California Adventure a lot.  Almost every time I would go I had to stop at the Ghirardelli shop in California Adventure and get a Caramel Quake Shake for myself while walking around the park. Unfortunately, my pass has expired and I still craved that Quake Shake. So, I bought some chocolate caramels from Ghirardelli at my local grocery store and ice cream and I was on a mission to make my own Quake Shake!

Copycat Quake Shake

Right after I made this and took a sip, I knew I’d hit the jack pot. This was EXACTLY what the Quake Shake tastes like in California Adventure! So, I got out my camera and took pictures!

What You’ll Need:

Blender

Vanilla Ice Cream

Milk

Chocolate’s of your choice (I chose chocolate caramels from Ghirardelli)

Whipped Cream to add on top (optional)

Cups to pour your milkshake in

My Favorite Halloween Movies

My Favorite Halloween Movies

This year I have really taken full advantage of Halloween movies.  I have to admit that I without a doubt hate watching scary movies. Most of these (ok, all of these) movies I’ve watched since I was a little kid.

All of the pictures are from Google Images

halloween movies

  1. Hocus Pocus

Starting off with a classic! I don’t think I need a reason why this is one of my favorite Halloween movies.        Though I still cannot watch this movie at night, I love watching it during the day. In the movie, Max and his family move to Salem, Massachusetts.  On the day of Halloween he hears a story about the Sanderson sisters and calls it “a bunch of Hocus Pocus”. Him, his sister, and crush find out if the story is fiction taking them on a scary Halloween adventure!

2. Halloweentown

Another classic, Halloweentown! Watching this movie this year is a little sad because we lost the beloved Debby Reynolds. But she lives with the children of the late 90s/early 2000s in the Halloweentown movies! In the movie, Marnie has always known she was different. Every Halloween her grandma comes to visit for a nice family dinner. Grandma Aggie reads Marnie and her siblings a story called Halloweentown! Marnie decides to sneak out of her bed and follow her Grandma to the bus stop, hops onto the bus and finds out that not only is Halloweentown real, but she and her family are witches and warlocks!

3. Casper Meets Wendy

If you didn’t watch Hillary Duff in one of her first movies, I would suggest it.  Hillary Duff’s character Wendy has to move in with her three Aunts.  The new house they bought has been occupied by Casper and his Uncles continuing to scare the new owners into fleeing, but not these witches! George Hamilton is even in it playing a bad guy trying to take Wendy!

4. Double Double Toil and Trouble

My sister Mia and I loved Mary-Kate and Ashley movies I think because it was something we could relate to being identical twins ourselves.  This movie is definitely a Halloween favorite! Mary-Kate and Ashley go visit their Great-Aunt who hates children.  The girls later find out that their Great-Aunt was actually an identical twin but they weren’t as close as you’d might think.  There was a lot of jealousy and the evil twin trapped the nice twin in a mirror for all of eternity.

5. Tower of Terror

This is another Halloween movie that I like to watch during the day.  Kirsten Dunst’s character and her Uncle Buzz who investigates rumored stories goes to the Hollywood Hotel to talk with a relative of one of the elevator passengers the night of the crash.  We get a look into what really happened and see if they make it out!

I hope you enjoyed what some of my favorite Halloween movies are! If you have any other suggestions please leave them in the comments!

Until next time..
