Monthly Favorites-August

August has been an amazing time! I have discovered some great things this month that have easily become my favorite in the month of August. So, naturally I thought I’d share with all of you!
Television
Anne with an “E”
While flipping through my brother’s Netflix account one day (thanks Dominic), I saw a show called ‘Anne with an “E”. It intrigued me but, it wasn’t until about 2 weeks ago that I decided to finally watch it. I sat down to watch the first episode and immediately fell in love with the series. Anne with an “E” is based off of the book ‘Anne of Green Gables’. Though I never heard of the book before watching the show, I am oh so interested in reading it now.
To give a little insight of the show… Anne with an “E” is about an orphan in the 1800s in Canada who finds her forever home with a brother and sister, Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert on their farm in Avonlea on Prince Edward Island (in Canada). We watch Anne as she grows up and experiences childhood for the first time at 13 years old. We see her going through school, bullies, what she went through in the Orphanage, and hear her amazing stories with her incredible imagination an story telling abilities. There are only 2 seasons so far (they’ll be filming a 3rd soon) and I unfortunately finished both seasons in a little over a week 🙁 . I am eagerly waiting for season 3 to continue on with the Cuthbert’s and Anne’s adventures.
Music
Maren Morris album HERO
At the beginning of August, I went to Niall Horan’s Flicker World Tour where Maren Morris opened up for him. I (if you already didn’t know) am a big Country Music fan, so naturally I was really excited to see Maren live because I have most of her songs on iTunes already. I love her debut album but, hearing her sing some of my favorite songs live, was incredible!
Hair Care
EVA-NYC Mane Magic 10-in-1 Primer
I got this is a promotion box at the end of July. I didn’t try this until a few weeks ago and I’m obsessed! First, you shake the spray a little bit, then spray it in your hair after your shower when your hair is damp (for me, it works best when my hair is a little dryer, but still wet). You shake it lightly then spray all over your hair then you style it as normal. I prefer air dry my hair. Plus, because it has argan oil in it, I wake up in the morning it’s shiny and soft. This has been my favorite thing to use when I want to take a quick shower and don’t want to condition my hair. Plus it’s for ALL hair types!
Until Next Time…
