This month’s book of the month is Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell.

This is about a girl named Eleanor, and a boy named Park.  Eleanor is the new girl in school when her mom decides to move into Eleanor’s moms boyfriend’s house.

Eleanor doesn’t look like the other girls at her new school and that makes her a topic on the bus to school.  No one allowing her to have a seat because school had already started, and everyone already has there “assigned” unassigned seats.  Park comes to her rescue, giving up his two-person seat for her to sit as he takes the window.

The book continues on with their “friendship” and how it’s evolved throughout the rest of the story.  It’s a great and easy read–I highly suggest it!

Hope you enjoyed this month’s book of the month!

  • I found that book charming too! If you liked that one, I think you’d also enjoy “Where did you go Bernadette?” by Maria Semple. I listened to it as an audio book, though I’m sure it’s a good read as well.
