Pageant of the Masters
This week I went to see Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach with my family. Â It’s been a tradition every summer since I could remember. Â We go out to dinner then go see Pageant! This year’s theme is called Partners.
For dinner, we went to Tommy Bahamas. Â Which is just opposite of Main Beach across from the store Bubbles.
There, I ordered the All-American burger (without onions of course), and it was so good (the wait staff wasn’t bad either..hahah)! Â The burger was cooked perfectly to medium-rare, and with a garlic aioli. Â The atmosphere was amazing, although every time I looked to my right I was looking at a clothing store which was a bit weird to see.
After dinner we walked over to Pageant, looked at some of the artwork on display, and took our seats.
The show was all about partners, including Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, and Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds, and Donald O’Connor..Just to name a few. Â Granted, it was very fun to see a live art of the many movie posters and paintings of them, there was a lot of unnecessary dancing. Â My absolute favorite part was the history at the end before the famous Last Supper was brought on stage. Â The amazing story of the first few showings of the Festival of the Arts to celebrate 80 years, and many more to come! Â I am so lucky that this amazing sight of history is in my own backyard!
