National Coffee Day
Yesterday was one of my favorite National days…National Coffee day! Â If you’ve read my posts before, or even know me even just a little bit, you know how much I love the caffeinated drink. Â So naturally, I celebrated like the coffee lover that I am!
I found this amazing cold brew recipe on itsallabouttheyummy thus, I thought I’d try it out.  If you don’t know what cold brew is, it’s coffee grounds that steep in cold water. Then the container is set in the refrigerator to keep cold and naturally brews for 12-24 hours.  Cold brew  has less acidity than regular cup of joe, which means you’re less likely to get a stomach ache. (Yay!)  When coffee beans get hot and roast, they let out acidic oils which causes a lot of people to have stomach pains or aches.
Starbucks does sell cold brew, however, it’s much easier to follow these instructions than spending your money!

I made mine in a big jug so I could drink the amazing brew throughout the week and have my family enjoy it as well.  Brewing my coffee for 24 hours so it was nice and strong.  I personally like stronger coffee so I used a dark roast.  However, any roast will do.  If the brew is still too strong for your liking, add cold water to dilute the cold brew and then try it out.
The best thing about cold brew is that if you’d rather spice it up your drink with seasonal flavors, just add flavored creams to give it that nice touch!
