Summer Solstice
It’s officially summer, and I could not be happier! Â Although this means the weather is climbing to hot temperatures, it also means pool parties, beach days, tans, water balloon fights, ice cream trucks, staying up late, and cute summer dresses.
Summer solstice is the longest day of the year because the sun is out for the longest period of time before sunset (not including Alaska where there’s like an entire month without dark and visa versa).
Although the solstice starts the summer period (and winter period depending where you are in the world, but summer for us in the Northern Hemisphere) it doesn’t usually mean that it’s the hottest day of the year. Â Although, it might be this year in California, because it’s been absolutely dreadful weather. Â My California blood doesn’t do well with high temperatures; which is basically anything higher than 75 degrees fahrenheit.

The Summer Solstice varies between June 20th-22nd. Â However, I usually celebrate it on the 21st because it’s the middle of both days, so it works, right?
Hope you all had/have a wonderful Solstice and may your summer be fun and memorable!! :))
